In plain language

We collect nothing. The extension never talks to a server, and your progress never leaves your browser.

This box is a summary for convenience. The sections below are the operative text.

The short version

We do not collect personal data. There is no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts anywhere on this site or in the extension. Your game progress is written to your own browser and stays there.

The rest of this page spells out the detail, including the two places where data does move: ordinary web server logs, and the one request the website makes if you submit a drop code.

The browser extension

The Chrome and Edge extension is self-contained. Specifically:

  • It requests no permissions. The manifest declares no host permissions, so the extension has no ability to read, modify or observe the pages you visit.
  • It makes no network requests. There is no code in the extension that contacts any server, ours or anyone else's. Levels are generated on your device from the level number.
  • It stores progress locally. Your level, score and settings are written to your browser's local storage for the extension only.
  • It contains no analytics or telemetry. We have no way of knowing you installed it, how often you play or which level you reached.

You can verify all of this. The extension is unpacked JavaScript and you can read every line of it, and your browser's network tools will show no requests while you play.

This website

The website serves HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images from https://arrowpuzzle.iamtac.com and nothing else. There are no fonts, tag managers, analytics beacons, social widgets or advertising scripts loaded from other domains.

The one request the game makes

If you run out of drops and choose to enter a drop code, the web game sends that code to verify-drop.php on this same domain so the server can check it. That request contains only the code you typed. It is not stored, and it is not sent anywhere else.

Verifying a code also causes PHP to set a session cookie, which we use purely to limit how many codes can be tried per minute. Details are in the cookie policy.

If you never enter a drop code, the website makes no requests beyond loading its own page assets.

What is stored on your device

These entries live in your browser's local storage. They never leave your machine, and we cannot read them.

Local storage keys used by Arrow Puzzle
KeyHolds
arrowpuzzle_profile Your display name, score and highest unlocked level.
arrowpuzzle_sound Whether you muted the music.
arrowpuzzle_used_tokens Drop codes you have already redeemed, so one cannot be reused.
arrowpuzzle_storage_notice That you dismissed the storage notice.

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes all of it, including your progress. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our web server records a line for each request it serves. Those lines typically contain your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser's user agent string and the response status.

We use these logs only to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse. We do not build profiles from them, we do not combine them with anything else, and we do not sell or share them. They are retained for a short period and then rotated away by the hosting platform.

Third parties

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, error-tracking or fingerprinting service. No data is shared with anyone, because there is nothing to share.

The site links out to the Chrome Web Store and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Once you follow one of those links you are on Google's or Microsoft's property and their privacy policies apply. See our disclaimer.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it and object to its processing.

In our case there is an unusual answer: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase. The data that exists is in your browser and entirely under your control.

  • Access. Open your browser's developer tools and inspect local storage for this site. That is the complete set.
  • Deletion. Clear site data for this domain, or remove the extension. Both are immediate and complete.
  • Server logs. If you believe a log entry identifies you and you want it removed, write to us and we will look into it.

Questions about any of this can go to support@iamtac.com.

Children's privacy

Arrow Puzzle is a puzzle game suitable for general audiences. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no social features and no purchases.

Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern, contact us at support@iamtac.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site or extension handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the changelog.
